Privacy Policy

In short

• Our games and apps on phones, tablets and computers don't collect any personal information. They have no ads, no tracking and no accounts. Your progress is saved only on your device.
• On guidrygames.com, an account is optional. If you make one, we keep your email address, the name you chose and your scores, so you can sign in, appear on the high-score boards and download what you bought.
• If you sign up for our newsletter, we keep your email address to send you news about our games, asset packs and Room 3D, until you unsubscribe.
• We never sell or share your information for advertising.

1. Our games and apps

Guidry Games apps from the Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore and other stores, and the games you download from us, do not collect, store or send any personal information. They don't contain advertising, analytics or tracking. Settings and progress (such as unlocked levels, stars and best scores) are saved only on your device and are removed when you delete the app.

If a game offers Apple Game Center or Google Play Games (leaderboards and achievements), that service is run by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, and you choose whether to sign in to it. We only see the scores and achievements those services show to every player.

2. guidrygames.com

You can play our browser games without an account. If you create one, we store:

• your email address, the display name you choose, and your password in scrambled (hashed) form, which we cannot read;
• your best score in each game, shown with your display name on the high-score boards;
• your purchases (order number, email, product and amount), so your downloads are available on your account page.

We use your email only to confirm your account, reset your password and send receipts or messages about your purchases. We keep brief, scrambled records of sign-in attempts to stop abuse. The site uses one cookie to keep you signed in; it has no advertising or tracking cookies.

3. The newsletter

Our newsletter is optional. When you sign up on guidrygames.com (or switch on "Email me news" on your account page), we keep:

• your email address and whether it's waiting for confirmation, confirmed or unsubscribed;
• where you signed up (which page or form), when you signed up, confirmed or unsubscribed, and which version of the sign-up wording you agreed to;
• a scrambled (hashed) form of the internet (IP) address you signed up from, used only to stop abuse such as one computer signing up many addresses. We can't turn it back into the address.

We use your address only to send you news about our games, asset packs and Room 3D. Nothing is sent until you confirm your address with the link in the email we send you; if you don't confirm it, you won't hear from us. The links in our emails are protected with secret codes, and we keep only scrambled forms of those codes.

Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link: one click on it (and a button on the page it opens) takes you off the list, and many mail apps also show their own Unsubscribe button for our emails. You can also switch off "Email me news" on your account page, or write to us. Once you unsubscribe, we keep a note that the address is unsubscribed so we don't email it again; ask us and we'll delete it completely.

We send the newsletter ourselves, from our own website and mail server. We don't use a mailing service, and we never share, sell or rent the list.

4. Payments

Purchases are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment.

5. Testers

If you join our testers group (Guidry Games Testers on Google Groups) to try games before they come out, Google Groups shares your email address with us as the group owner. We use it only to let you into the test on Google Play and to send the occasional note about a test. We never share or sell it, and other testers can't see it. You can leave the group at any time from its Google Groups page, which also removes you from the tests. Feedback you send through the Play Store is shared with us by Google.

6. Other services the site uses

The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's standard request information (such as your IP address) when you visit. Our web host keeps standard server logs for security.

7. Children

Our games are made for players of all ages and the apps collect no personal information from anyone. Website accounts are meant for players 13 and older; younger players can play every browser game without an account. The newsletter is also meant for people 13 and older.

8. Your choices

You can change your details or ask us to delete your account and its scores at any time by writing to us. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in any of its emails or on your account page. Deleting an app removes everything it saved on your device.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version on this page.
