Kid
Idle, Walk, Run, Jump, a candy throw, a fright (Hurt), and a Death where the kid sits down and cries. About 220 px tall.
A complete Halloween platformer kit: a kid in a pumpkin costume out trick-or-treating, a grumpy jack-o'-lantern, a shambling mummy and a swooping bat, a moonlit graveyard, tiles, props, pickups and UI, all in one cartoon style. It comes with a playable demo game for GameMaker and for Godot, with a main menu, level select, two levels, pause, game over and win screens, ready to build your own game on.
Smooth, hand-finished animation. Every animation of a character shares one origin between its feet, so switching from running to jumping to attacking never makes it slide.
Idle, Walk, Run, Jump, a candy throw, a fright (Hurt), and a Death where the kid sits down and cries. About 220 px tall.
Walk, a snapping bite, Hurt, Death. About 150 px tall.
Walk, a long bandaged grab, Hurt, Death. Slow and tough, about 230 px tall.
Fly, a diving bite, Hurt, Death. About 120 px tall.
Graveyard ground and stone 9-piece tiles for ground and walls of any size, wooden and stone platforms, a spiked fence, tombstones, a coffin, a cauldron, lanterns, candy, a lollipop, a potion, a key, a candy basket, hearts and buttons.
Open it in GameMaker or Godot and press Play. Run, jump and throw candy through the graveyard and the crypt; jack-o'-lanterns and mummies patrol and fight back, and bats swoop from above. Every level is its own room or scene, and adding one to the level select is a single line.

Every frame as a transparent PNG, a sprite sheet for every animation, GIF previews, and sprites.json with frame counts, sizes, origins and speeds.
Sky, haunted hills, bare trees and foreground layers; the 64 px tileset with a map of every tile; props, pickups and UI; and the large source pictures of the tiles.
A GameMaker 2024 project: the kid, a thrown projectile, walking and flying enemies, pickups, a camera, parallax, menus, level select, pause and game over, all in plain GML.
The same game for Godot 4: scenes for every character, pickup and level, a TileSet with one-way platforms, and a theme for the menus.
GAMEPLAY (every rule and number), LEVELS (making levels and adding them to the level select) and CODE (every script, function by function), for both engines.
Use it in any number of your games, free or commercial, and change it as you like. Just don't resell or share the assets themselves.
GameMaker 2024 or newer, and Godot 4.4 or newer. Both are free to download: GameMaker and Godot. The art itself is plain PNG and works in any engine.
